How to know the proper weight for length

Body mass index

Limitations on the body mass index

If the body fat is more than 20 percent in men or 30 percent in women, they may be exposed to poor health conditions, which usually occur with people who are overweight
- Weight distribution on the body: The Body mass results does not take into account how a person's weight is distributed. The weight-to-weight ratio can be recorded as normal but the fat is centered around the abdomen, for example.
- Some people have a large waist; for men it is considered more fertile than men Women with a wide waist are women with a waist measuring more than ninety-nine centimeters.
